Daron Malakian and Scars On Broadway just released the companion music video for the single “Guns Are Loaded”. Directed by Greg Watermann and Daron Malakian, the video is ominous and captures the depth of the anger felt in the song. The single is from the band’s latest album ‘Dictator’ which was released last year.

The band is the side-project of System Of A Down’s Daron Malakian. While there have been lineup changes, Malakian started the project with intention of using different musicians to acquire different sounds. It is for this reason that he later added his name in front of the former band name Scars On Broadway. That being said, the album ‘Dictator’ was written and produced solely by Malakian. In addition, he played every instrument on the album and performed all the vocals. He completed everything over the course of ten days.

Under the former band name, their self-titled debut album was released in 2008. While a few singles came out in the meantime, it was ten years before ‘Dictator’ was released in 2018. We can only hope that there will not be another ten-year wait for a third album.

The band has announced five concert dates between March 3rd and March 8th. Then, on May 19th, the band will be playing at the Sonic Temple Festival in Columbus, Ohio.
