Dance Gavin Dance have released ‘Mothership (Instrumental)’, which is an instrumental version of their critically acclaimed album ‘Mothership’. This follows shortly after the release of an instrumental version of their most recent album ‘Artificial Selection’. The original version of ‘Mothership’ was released in 2016 via Rise Records and debuted at #13 on the Billboard 200.

Since their inception in 2005, Dance Gavin Dance have steadily built a phenomenally loyal following. Blending complex instrumentation and time signatures with huge poppy choruses and aggressive screams, they have fathered an entire genre that has been given the name “swancore”. Aptly named after the band’s guitarist Will Swan and his record label Blue Swan Records, the genre is characterized by their combination of elements from math-rock, progressive-rock, and post-rock.

This was the inspiration for the band’s inaugural Swanfest, a one-day festival event that took place earlier this year in Anaheim, California and saw a sell-out crowd of 7,500 fans. The band then hit the road headlining their successful Artificial Selection US Tour which culminated in two sold-out shows at the El Rey in Los Angeles, California.

Upcoming Dates:
7/20-7/21 – Mountain View, CA – Vans Warped Tour
7/29 – Oshkosh, WI – Rock USA
