The trapmetal band The World I Knew released their new single “Hypenation” as well as its accompanying music video, which was directed by Vince Lundi. The turbulent track is a flex to the band’s fans while featuring raps and growls over a lo-fi beat, heavy riffs, and galloping kick drums.

About the single, vocalist Wesley Merritt stated:
“It’s a f*** you to everyone who doesn’t support us and a last call for anyone who still wants to because we don’t do that bandwagon shit.”

Since their formation in 2014, The World I Knew have been striving to create music without boundaries or limitations by fusing metalcore with modern rap and hip-hop. The Cincinnati-based band brings together brutal riffs, aggressive breakdowns, trap beats, and intense lyrics to create their distinct and unapologetic trapmetal sound.

With an uncanny ability to seamlessly engage with audiences across the metal, rap, punk, and rock scenes, The World I Knew is a band to watch.
