North Carolina-based metalcore band VALLEYS has been welcomed onto the impressive roster of Tragic Hero Records. They have also released their new single “Bunkatsu” (meaning split or division in Japanese) from their upcoming album ‘Fearless’. The song is a plea for humans to come together as a community and break the divide that keeps them constantly at odds. The album is now available for pre-order on Merchbucket.

About the signing, Tommy LaCombe (found of Tragic Hero Records) stated:
“It’s been many years since I’ve worked with a band from my hometown. I see great potential in VALLEYS; I’ve always loved North Carolina’s unique brand of metal, and VALLEYS is going to continue to spread that sound and hopefully influence others to come. I love this album and am thankful it was produced (with the band) by Travis Haire (Tragic Hero alum, Knives Exchanging Hands), and who has grown to become a great friend both professionally and personally.”

For most bands releasing their debut full length is a monumental, but that moment could not have mattered less for VALLEYS because their vocalist Mikey Clement passed away suddenly as the result of a tragic car crash one week before their record release in 2016. The band went ahead to put out ‘Experiment One: Asylum’ and do justice for the fallen singer’s songs with an overflowing of support from family, friends, and fans. After some time, they regrouped with Jayson Mitchell stepping up as lead vocalist and solidified their current lineup with Rj Riggle (guitar), Will Shoe (guitar), Nick Raimondi (bass), and Robert Meikle (drums).

The band began writing music, which helped them to endure that tough time. The result of their efforts led to a newfound perseverance and culminated to what will become their most explosive release to date. The upcoming album ‘Fearless’ features socio-cultural and political themes while expressing the band’s disdain for the conflicts and separation found in today’s society. Refusing to be silent or silence those who have continually been ostracized after questioning what they have been told, the band leaves nothing to the imagination on the album. VALLEYS look to portray a story of collective truths and stress the importance of being fearless in every aspect of life. ‘Fearless’ will be released on October 11th, 2019 via Tragic Hero Records.
