Nu-metal band Generation Underground released their cathartic new single “Broken Life” along with its music video. The track will be on the band’s upcoming debut album.

About the single, vocalist/guitarist Mike Florentine stated:
“The song is about my close friends growing up in broken house & dealing with divorce, death, betrayal & drugs.”

Generation Underground is based out of New Jersey and was formed in 2014 by Mike Florentine. The band also consists of Josh Polius, Erik Springvloed, and Billy Anthony. They have created a sound of their own with influences from the likes of Korn, Slipknot, Linkin Park, Deftones, Parkway Drive, and Pantera.

The band’s new track “Broken Life” is an exploration of a broken home and encapsulates the struggle through evocative lyrics. In the video for the song, the band delivers a bold performance as they purge the negative energy.
