About ‘Flatline’, Chris (vocals) of Hurtpiece stated:
“We wanted to make this album even heavier than the ep but at the same time become more dynamic and push ourselves with the writing process. We feel like we released 4 of the heaviest songs you’ll hear this year.”

Continuing, about the EP, Tevin (guitar) of Bovice stated:
“We believe these songs are our most intricate and heaviest songs. Don’t sleep on the Chicago x Pittsburgh connection!”

Bovice is a five piece hardcore band that got their start in early 2019. They have already put their stamp on the hardcore scene as a musical force to be reckoned with. The band may appeal to fans of Suffocation, The Killer, and Terror Ave.

Hurtpiece is a five piece that has been brutalizing the hardcore scene for a little over a year. They have already been recognized worldwide for their pummeling style of beatdown death metal. The band may appeal to fans of Obituary, Irate, and Bodybag.

Both bands, clearly on the rise in the underground scene, have been gaining the respect of their peers. The split EP ‘Flatline’ developed from concept to reality in late 2019. The bands set their sights on creating a release that will be hailed as the heaviest split of 2020.

Look out for Bovice and Hurtpiece making big noise this year as they both are on a mission to take their sound to the masses.
