The rock band Dead Friends released their new EP ‘High Wasted Genes’ on January 24th via Standby Records. The release shows the band exploring and pushing past the far reaches of the heavy rock genre.

Dead Friends consists of Austin Radford, Dan Worrell, Christian Zawacki, and Brian Zawacki. They came together when lead singer and guitarist Austin moved to Virginia from Dallas and wound up meeting Christian, Brian, and Dan. Before they met, Austin wasn’t really sure whether he should continue to pursue a career in music or head down another path entirely. They all had the same passion for music and, still unsure of what they were, they recorded the song “Down For Good”. Their next single “Paimon (What You Omen)” was the first song they wrote collectively. Those two and their next single “Torches” are all stand-alone singles. They have shared the stage with the likes of Oh Sleeper, Famous Last Words, Counterparts, and Bad Omens.
