The metalcore band Execution Day released their new single “Woe” along with its music video. The track is about overcoming struggles with depression and anxiety and is a reflection of the band’s personal experiences.

About the song, vocalist Dylan Dively stated:
“The first line of the chorus, ‘it’s hard to see the sun through the rain’ sums up the song pretty well. Sometimes with everything going on in life the bad overshadows the good, and it’s something that we all need to overcome and conquer.”

When “Woe” starts, you think you’re in for a standard pop-rock anthem, but the dynamic track takes a dramatic left turn as it dives into guttural vocals and crowd-killing riffs before it spins back around with the soaring hook.

Formed just outside of Pittsburgh, the band delivers a unique form of modern metalcore that is noticeably their own. They have been tirelessly touring and creating music since their formation in 2016. Their debut EP ‘From the Bottom of my Heart’ was released the following year. After that release, they hit the road to tour across the Midwest and play shows with the likes of Falling In Reverse, The Plot In You, and Like Moths To Flames.

Although their name may conjure negative or morbid images, their moniker is actually meant to be quite positive. Execution Day stands for executing everything you have ever dreamed of and making it a reality.
