Ohio/Canada-based band Along Came A Spider released their new single “Left Behind” along with its lyric video. More hardcore punk than previous releases, the thrashing track is about rebellion and a generation standing up for itself.

About the single, vocalist Jamie Miller stated:
“We didn’t want to make it overly political. But the song says exactly how we feel right now – LEFT BEHIND by the powers that be.”

Continuing, keyboardist/programmer Joel Sedlak stated:
“We’re just trying to push this thing forward. And f***ing ready like hell to get back on the road!”

About the vocals, producer of the track Evan McKeever stated:
“Yeah, we made him sound a little pissed.”

The scorching track seems particularly relevant considering the world is amid a growing health crisis and economic turmoil. The band doesn’t hold back as the vocals take a noticeably aggressive tone that is not heard in their previous releases by yelling phrases such as “our generation is on the edge” and “you never gave us any chance”. Brought to life by Tyler Cobillas of TC Media, the accompanied lyric video features a concept created by bassist John Calo including riot footage, graffiti, and financial institutions meeting their demise by fire.

The band consists of Jamie Miller (vocals), Luke Fockler (guitar), John Calo (bass), Joel Sedlak (keyboard), and Tony Castillo (drums). Their previous two singles have been played on radio stations around the world and amassed over 230,000 streams on Spotify alone. Assuming it doesn’t get postponed or canceled, in July, they will be performing at the Inkcarceration Festival alongside the likes of blink-182, Weezer, and Limp Bizkit in Mansfield, Ohio.

The chorus of “Left Behind” states “we are the living sacrifice, we have no names”, but Along Came A Spider is certainly on the verge of making a name for themselves.
