New York hardcore veterans Subzero signed with Upstate Records and announced they will be releasing their new EP ‘Beauty In Sorrow’ this June via the label. The five track EP, which will also be released via Demons Run Amok in Europe, will drop in time for their 30th anniversary European tour.

About ‘Beauty In Sorrow’, vocalist Lou Di Bella stated:
“The new music carries a broad spectrum of influences ranging from the classic Happiness Without Peace era to the more modern sounds of the bands progression into The Suffering of Man and so many unexpected surprises in between. We’ve taken every genre of music that inspired us since we were kids and mashed it all up into this release which is just a small example of what’s to come in our future.”

About the signing and the release, Upstate Records co-founder Mario Cangemi stated:
“We are very honored to be working with Subzero for their next release.  They are true legends.  Adding to the release, our ability to co-release with our friends at Demons Run Amok, makes the whole opportunity even more special”.  Rene Luigi, Demons Run Amok, further adds, “Demons Run Amok is very excited to be part of the the upcoming Subzero release.  To this with our sisters and brothers of Upstate Records makes this to a real family affair.”

Born out of NYC, the band catapulted themselves upon the New York hardcore scene in 1989 and quickly made a name for themselves with their brethren in the likes of Agnostic Front, Madball, and Sick Of It All. Immediately recognized as a powerhouse in the hardcore community for their style of crossover hardcore/metal/punk, they appealed to a wide range of audiences internationally and shared the stage with acts such as Hatebreed, Motorhead, Misfits, and Eminem.

Fast forward and the band is poised for their next chapter. The upcoming EP ‘Beauty In Sorrow’ will certainly impress their old-school fans and new fans alike by capturing their legendary sound infused with musical progressiveness.

Subzero will be warming up their new release with all their classics at this year’s infamous Black N Blue Bowl in May where they will share the stage with friends like Sick Of It All, Agnostic Front, Murphy’s Law, Gorilla Biscuits, Burn, and Madball for two days of legendary NYHC. Following that, they will head off to Europe for their 30th anniversary tour alongside Additional Time for a 17 dates presented by MAD Tour Booking.
