Pennsylvania-based metalcore band Execution Day released their new EP ‘Illusions’ along with a music video for their single “Lost at Sea (Castaway)”. The fervent track blends all the fury of modern metalcore with a massive radio-friendly hook that offers a glimpse of the new record.

About the EP, vocalist Dylan Dively stated:
“The writing process was the hardest to date. We really wanted to capture something special and hit some heavier topics for us as individuals. We really dug deep lyrically to come up with the most personal EXD songs to date.”

Elsewhere on the new EP is the track “Anti-Venom” featuring Justin “JD” DeBlieck of Ice Nine Kills and the record’s first single “Woe”.

Founded in 2016, Execution Day has been tirelessly pushing, touring, and creating new music. Their debut EP ‘From the Bottom of My Heart’ was released in 2017 and established the band as one of Pittsburgh’s premier metalcore bands. Following that release, they hit the road to tour across the Midwest and played with bands such as Falling In Reverse, The Plot In You, and Like Moths To Flames.
