German metal/hardcore band Bashdown released their uncompromising single “U” and its music video. Following “Create A God” and “Checkmate”, the track is the third to be released off of their sophomore album ‘Pushing The Envelope’, which is out now.

About the new single, frontman Helge Haß stated:
“U is an uncompromising hymn that mirrors the attitude of the band. Haters can F themselves, period. Uncompromising is also the musical side of the song, fast but with an undeniable jump and nod factor!”

The new album ‘Pushing The Envelope’ was mixed and produced by Kai Panschow; the drum parts were recorded at Hamburg’s Chameleon Studios under the direction of Eike Freese (Heaven Shall Burn/Eisbrecher), who also mastered the songs. The second Bashdown album, which has turned into an impressive recording in every respect, is rounded off by the highly symbolic cover artwork courtesy of Kai Seeliger.

About the artwork, frontman Helge Haß stated:
“It features a globe which is completely covered by buildings. Our planet is totally overcrowded, which is a consequence of mankind taking itself too seriously. It’s really tragic how humanity recklessly defies the laws of nature.”
