The pop singer-songwriter Daniella Mason released her new single “Get Me Out Of My Head”. Ahead of her upcoming EP ‘Mental State’, she is dancing her way through overthinking with this catchy new electropop song.
About “Get Me Out Of My Head”, she stated:
“When I’m stressed, it’s honestly comical how quickly I can spiral, and those who know me well can see it coming. [This single] is a cry for help to somehow get back into my body and back into reality. It outlines the extremes my mind can go to, but then it also highlights the glimpses of light that work their way in and show me the way out again.”
The Nashville, Tennessee-based artist is no stranger to pop commerciality, but it is her left-of-center musicianship and distinct vocals that afford her credit in tastemaker and alternative spaces as well. Her music is certainly pop with no flashy aesthetics or overhyped production. Striking a balance between finding its place in a club and being emotional, her sound blurs genre lines to reach a variety of listeners and fans.
Her upcoming EP is the second of four that she will be releasing over the course of the next year as part of her ‘State of Mine’ series. Each of the four EPs, titled ‘Emotional State’, ‘Mental State’, ‘Physical State’, and ‘Spiritual State’, will explore the different part of our humanity that we tend to suppress and have difficulty embracing.
Daniella Mason’s single “Get Out Of My Head” is available now via Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, Tidal, Deezer, Amazon, and Google Play. Give it a listen, and be looking out for ‘Mental State’ and the rest of her ‘State of Mine’ series.
