About the EP, vocalist Nick Burkhard stated:
“The EP ’Low, but Looking Up’ was recorded over the span of 8 months and was written differently than we have ever done before. This time we actually learned to demo ourselves, and I think that added more to what we thought was possible from a songwriting perspective. Not only that, but we were also able to collaborate with different artists like Tyler Albertson (Homesafe) and Kramer Welker (You vs Yesterday) that we have looked up to for a long time. The EP’s overall theme lies in the title, ‘Low, but Looking Up’. The songs were written from the state of feeling low mentally, but not wanting to feel that way forever and striving to get to a more comfortable place.”

The EP was produced, mixed, and mastered by Will Carlson Audio in Columbus, Ohio from October 2019 through June 2020.
