Long Island hardcore band Detachment released their new single “Work Horse”. With their plans being canceled due to COVID, they did the only thing they knew how to do – write and create. This track is the fruit of that labor.

Detachment (known originally as From Hollow Veins) is a hardcore group to look out for on Long Island, New York. They have been bringing their unique style and electrifying live performances to their local scene and the region as a whole since 2015.

In the fall of 2016, they shared the stage with bands such as Cane Hill and Sworn In, to the praise of both groups. A couple of months later they signed with The Sights Set North agency to get some true touring experience. September of 2017, they released their single entitled “Self Doubt” which received raving reviews and was featured in AP’s Spotify playlist. Nearing the end of 2017, with all of the experience they gained, they made the decision to change the band name to Detachment. They took the remaining year off from touring and playing shows to write and record their debut EP.

In October of 2018, Detachment released their debut single “Million Eyes” which was praised by websites such as Vents Magazine, Metal Nerd, Distrolution, and Rock N Load Magazine. That year they played shows opening for the likes of Cane Hill, Traitors, and The Last Ten Seconds of Life. In 2020, they released their debut EP featuring 7 tracks showcasing their individuality, energy, and talent.
